190rnds is only barely a hicap (it's more like a mid really)... and is what I tend to use all the time with my Tommy gun... :)

Today, I finally got my Gibson Les Paul back from the repairers - after 3 and a half ruddy months!! Plugged it in, and the bridge pickup wasn't working! So, drove all the way back to the shop, and they finally fixed it.

:rocker:

So after the next gig when you smash it into your speakers, they'll be ready to repair it again?

Or do you not play that sort of music?

(BTW I had to check on google that you were talking about a guitar... ;) )

It was in for a refret, not because I'd smashed it. Although, a number of bands of varying styles have broken instruments over the years. Whilst we are still building up the set (new band - only rehearsed twice), we are doing a Clash song, and there is every possibility we might be doing songs by The Who and Jimi Hendrix - all breakers of instruments.

I couldn't possibly damage my baby, anyway.

Heh, the truth about Townshend is that he'd never break one of his lovely Gibsons. He used crappy old Strats to break - and they were repaired again for the next night...

Pulled the first casting of a Mk.II grenade body from my new moulds. Looks lovely, just need to set up a mould for the fuse and spoon. :good:
Also found a load of spare parts for ID discs. May see how many I've got and put up another run in the sale section.

Found out that my attempt to duplicate the kit from a photo of my Grandad in WW2 is actually 100% accurate! Turns out I don't have to wait for an airsoft Webley "tanker" pistol, as my Grandad actually carried a Smith & Wesson, which I have a Tanaka version of! Coupled with with my latest purchase of a VERY expensive cap badge, I'm finally sorted and, very happy!

Finished the final writing of the Mace, so am now excited - rather then petrified.

I'm intrigued. How expensive are we talking?

Over £200, less than £300  Mind you, it's a VERY rare one, for Officers and RSM only. I sometimes wish that my Grandad had been in another Hussars Regiment and not the 8th! The money and time I've spent, researching and collecting! :slap:

Really good Rammix but the voice in the intro gave me shivers as I just wasn't expecting it and it didn't help that I have surround sound in my office

cheers :good:

Today I recieved the backing material for my grandad's memorial collage. A few pictures and trinkets that he kept from his time in the RAF. Couple in flight gear, and a couple from the desert (Mombassa wartime & Egypt post war). I'm going to sink the button loops into the back board and secure everything down, then its taking pride of place on my livingroom wall.

Awesome! :good:

That's what I was thinking.

Good that you've made up something that will be seen regularly. Much better than just keeping it all in a drawer and looking at it once every 5 years. Make sure you don't hang it in direct sunlight or it will murder the inks in your insignia and photos.
